Unfortunately, the wide variety of bicycle frames also means there are many different headset standards. That’s why it’s not possible to say in general which headset will fit your frame. The easiest way to check compatibility is by using our headset finder.

If you use your bike the way the engineers intended, your headset will eventually wear out. The only way to prevent that would be to ride only in dry conditions on bike paths to the ice cream shop. Bearings are, unfortunately, wear parts. But the good news is: if you don’t blast your headset with a pressure washer and use bike cleaners like Muc-Off sparingly around the bearings, you should enjoy your headset for a long time.
